Sponsorship/Supporter Opportunities

Looking for a way to increase your business and help thousands of youths at the same time? The East Ventura and Sunrise Optimist Clubs of Ventura might have your solution.

For the past 16 years, the two clubs-which are part of the Optimist International Association with the motto “A Friend of Youth” – have sponsored the Ventura Seaside Basketball Tournament, which draws teams from throughout Ventura County and other parts of the state.

The tournament draws so many teams that we need the gyms of Ventura College, the city’s high schools and often the middle schools. Last year, over 100 teams participated in our tournament, which includes boys and girls from third grade through 12th grade. That means we attracted over 1000 players plus their coaches and assistant coaches, parents, family and friends.

All profits go back to the youths of the community, with the schools that provide the gyms sharing in the tournament income. Over the past thirteen years, the tournament has distributed over $300,000 to the youths of our community. In addition to the donations to the schools, the sponsoring Optimist Clubs sponsor scholarships, essay and speech contests, student of the month presentations, holiday donations to needy families, and other assistance to youths and their families.

We are asking you to help us support the youth of Ventura County. The attachment lists ways you can help our schools and the youth who attend them.

Donation of less than $50 will be listed as friend of the tournament on sponsor/supporter page of tournament.
